Public Transportation
Public Transportation is my senior thesis film from my time at American University. I was instructed to tell a story based on my personal life. I was told that if I cannot tell my own stories, I will never be able to tell others’ stories. This film is inspired by a period in which I was fully nocturnal. I developed a habit of wandering around the city for hours after midnight in a desperate attempt at wearing myself out. During this time I came across all sorts of freaks and weirdos, some of which are featured in this love letter to my hometown. It was an official selection at the 2021 Wheaton Film Festival.
